The short version: go to the sign-in page, type your email, and DocuBuild emails you a 6-digit code. Enter it and you're in. There is nothing to remember and nothing to reset.

The links in your emails are the fastest route. If you've been emailed about a document awaiting your review, click straight through from that email — you'll be signed in and taken to the document, instead of signing in and then hunting for it.
When something goes wrong
| 1 | “DocuBuild is invite-only — ask your project admin to add you.” Your email address isn't on any project yet. Accounts can't be self-created; someone with Admin on the project has to add you. Ask them to invite the exact address you're typing. |
| 2 | The code doesn't arrive. Check your junk folder first, then check the spelling of the address — an unknown address is treated the same as a known one, so a typo looks identical to a delivery problem. If your organisation filters external mail, ask IT to allow docubuild.io. |

Treat the links in DocuBuild emails like a key. Anyone who opens one is signed in as you for up to 14 days. Forwarding a notification email hands over that access — if you need a colleague to see something, add them to the project instead.
Do I need a password?
No. Codes and email links cover everything, and most people on DocuBuild have never set one.
If you'd rather use one, Sign in with password sits below the email box on the sign-in page. One thing worth knowing: resetting your password immediately kills every outstanding email link for your account. That's deliberate — it's the one control that revokes access everywhere if you think someone else has one of your emails. The trade-off is that links in older notification emails stop working, so you'll need to sign in with a code afterwards.
Signing in on a phone
Codes and links work the same on mobile. What differs is where they land you: subcontractors and anyone working through a contribute link get a mobile-ready page and can upload from the field.
